Geotab announced Tuesday it was certified by the California Air Resource's Board's Clean Truck Check program.
Trucks in or driving through California can comply with environmental regulations using a continuously connected solutions that support the J1939 and J1979 protocols and offer installation options, including a T-harness, for continuous emissions data collection.

"Compliance with the CARB Clean Truck Check program is essential for fleets operating in California, but traditional data collection methods can be costly and inconvenient," says Stephen White, associate vice president of business development at Geotab. "Our solution not only ensures seamless compliance but also empowers fleet managers with real-time visibility into emissions performance, enabling proactive maintenance and informed decision-making to optimize operations and avoid costly fines and downtime."
Last year, Geotab also received an executive order from CARB that exempts its aftermarket solutions from emissions anti-tampering regulations. It says it's the only telematics provider with both distinctions.
The CARB Clean Truck Check program aims to regulate about 1.2 million heavy-duty vehicles by requiring fleets to submit emissions-related data regularly to demonstrate compliance. Inspections can require hours of downtime per vehicle, Geotab says, costing fleets lost revenue. Geotab says its telematics device optimizes the process by enabling continuous emissions data collection without impacting vehicle uptime.
