Ford Pro is taking the initiative to help customers navigate the complexities of available incentives and rebate programs for EVs and charging with the introduction of its new Electric Vehicle Incentive Consultation Service.

Since its recent launch, the service has already assisted customers in identifying over $40,000 in incentives for charging along with $1.5 million for EV purchases.

According to Ford, these rebate programs have seen an 11 percent increase since 2024 and funds remain available. Interestingly, around 78 percent of all EVs and chargers are covered by a rebate program. The company also released a survey of more than 1,200 fleet managers which found that just 46 percent of these businesses had applied for government-funded rebates and incentives. Only 21 percent sought these grants.

What does this mean?

A lack of awareness among many customers as to what financial aid is available, including rebates, vouchers, and tax credits.

This is where Ford Pro decided to step up by helping to take the guesswork out of electric vehicle and charging incentives.

“The Ford Pro team helped us understand available incentives and rebate programs helping us cover the costs associated with transitioning to an EV fleet as well as the charging infrastructure to support it. Our new EV fleet delivers life sustaining transportation every day and these cost savings supported the business case to move toward a smarter, cleaner, more sustainable future,” said Chris Russo Founder and CEO of Elite Home Care, an in-home healthcare provider that managed to get the entire $25,000 bill for a DC fast charger installation covered by incentives.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell & BEV Survey
The following survey was sent as a link in an email cover message in February 2023 to the newsletter lists for Overdrive and CCJ. After approximately two weeks, a total of 176 owner-operators under their own authority, 113 owner-operators leased or assigned to a carrier and 82 fleet executives and 36 fleet employees from fleets with 10 or more power units had completed and submitted the questionnaire for a total of 407 qualified responses. Cross-tabulations based on respondent type are provided for each question when applicable.
