Celly, UMOE launch new trailer to haul hydrogen

Celly and UMOE Advanced Composites AS announced a new trailer for advanced hydrogen transportation, the companies announced Monday.

UMOE has more than six years of hydrogen trailer operations in Europe with more than 10,000 successful drop-and-swaps and 200,000-plus road miles traveled.

The trailers are available in 20-foot, 30-foot and 40-foot containers with flexible capacities reaching up to 720 kg. Each trailer supports hydrogen transportation and static storage at 350 bar pressure and has passed European safety tests, including burst, impact and fire safety standards. 

Trailers have an enclosed modular design ensuring compliance with load and safety requirements and are constructed with a Type 4 polymer liner and advanced fiber composite wrap with heat-resistant, non-corrosive and chemical-resistant properties. 


Hydrogen Fuel Cell & BEV Survey
The following survey was sent as a link in an email cover message in February 2023 to the newsletter lists for Overdrive and CCJ. After approximately two weeks, a total of 176 owner-operators under their own authority, 113 owner-operators leased or assigned to a carrier and 82 fleet executives and 36 fleet employees from fleets with 10 or more power units had completed and submitted the questionnaire for a total of 407 qualified responses. Cross-tabulations based on respondent type are provided for each question when applicable.
