Fleet operators across the U.S. are invited to take part in the upcoming year's State of Sustainable Fleets Survey, the most comprehensive, technology-neutral annual assessment of clean vehicle technology and fuel adoption.

Now entering its seventh year, the survey plays a key role in shaping the data behind the annual State of Sustainable Fleets report, which will be released at ACT Expo 2026.

The insights gathered help shape the industry's widely used Market Brief, a key resource for policymakers, manufacturers, and fleet professionals seeking to understand real-world trends, costs, and infrastructure hurdles.

Participation takes just 10 to 15 minutes, and all responses are kept completely anonymous. By sharing their experiences, fleet operators can play a direct role in informing critical decisions across the commercial transportation sector.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell & BEV Survey
The following survey was sent as a link in an email cover message in February 2023 to the newsletter lists for Overdrive and CCJ. After approximately two weeks, a total of 176 owner-operators under their own authority, 113 owner-operators leased or assigned to a carrier and 82 fleet executives and 36 fleet employees from fleets with 10 or more power units had completed and submitted the questionnaire for a total of 407 qualified responses. Cross-tabulations based on respondent type are provided for each question when applicable.
