As we head into the final months of 2025, it's time to look ahead to 2026—and no event looms larger in the alternative-power commercial vehicle market than the annual ACT Expo.

Now in its 16th year and taking place this coming May 4-7 in Las Vegas, Nevada, planners for this year's show have just released the full conference agenda

The program expands on ACT Expo's clean-transportation leadership, spotlighting the digital frontier—from AI and autonomy to connectivity and software-defined vehicles—now central to fleet performance and sustainability. More than 500 exhibitors will feature the vehicles, infrastructure, and digital solutions driving the future of commercial transportation.

Furthermore, ACT Expo 2026 will highlight the technologies transforming commercial transportation, from connected solutions to low- and zero-emission vehicles. Over 12,000 industry leaders will join four days of education, real-world examples, and hands-on access to emerging solutions.

Some of the major topics on the agenda will include an OEM CEO panel, commercial EV momentum, diesel and hybridization, natural gas and propane on the move, shippers and carriers, a hydrogen roundtable, AI bootcamp, and powering autonomy.

"It is an incredibly exciting time in our industry, but one that we also know can be dizzying for fleets to keep up with it all," said Erik Neandross, president of the Clean Transportation Solutions group at TRC, producers of ACT Expo. "As always, ACT Expo brings peer-to-peer information sharing and real-world insights to help fleets understand which technologies and fuels will work best in their own operation and help their freight customers meet growing expectations around performance, safety, cost, and sustainability."

TRC's Clean Transportation Solutions team says it developed the 2026 agenda with input from key fleet, industry, Clean Cities, AI and Automation committees, and event sponsors.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell & BEV Survey
The following survey was sent as a link in an email cover message in February 2023 to the newsletter lists for Overdrive and CCJ. After approximately two weeks, a total of 176 owner-operators under their own authority, 113 owner-operators leased or assigned to a carrier and 82 fleet executives and 36 fleet employees from fleets with 10 or more power units had completed and submitted the questionnaire for a total of 407 qualified responses. Cross-tabulations based on respondent type are provided for each question when applicable.
