Thompson Truck & Trailer will host an open house 4-7 p.m. on June 6 at the Dubuque, Iowa, location at 6800 S. Boulder Brook Court.

The Dubuque location as 29,500 square feet and eight drive-through bays, plus a half bay for tools and supplies. The service area also has an overhead crane, a wash bay, parts warehousing and a customer lounge with a dedicated restroom and shower.

"When designing this new Dubuque facility, we made the strategic decision to complete all requirements to be an International electric-certified location," says Travis Thompson, president. An International eMV will be on display during the event. "Like it or not, electric trucks are out there and we want to ensure our business is ready to support our customers and the fast-changing transportation industry.

The certification process included purchasing specialized tooling and lifts, completing technician training and installing charging infrastructure, which will come later this year.

"Our whole team has been working hard to prepare for this event and make sure it's a great time for our customers," says Joe Hoffman, general manager. "Food, drinks, prizes, trucks ... a great way to spend a Thursday night!"
