Velocity EV has rebranded as RIZON USA, authorized distributor of the RIZON brand, manufactured by Daimler Truck, the company announced Thursday. 

Under the new name, the company will continue expanding its national dealer network for it's zero-emissions, medium-duty trucks. The Class 4-5 all-electric cabover models are designed for urban and last-mile deliveries. They have a range of up to 160 miles per charge and are compatible with both Level 2 AC and DC fast charging. RIZON offers six models that are customizable for a variety of uses.

The e18L, e18M, e16L and e16M all debuted in 2023. In 2025, the company will debut the e18Mx and e18Lx, featuring an upgraded payload capacity of 18,850 pounds. All 2025 models will come standard with an eight-year/120,000-mile warranty package for the powertrain and high-voltage electrical components and eight years/185,000 miles for high-voltage batteries.

RIZON USA has certified dealer partners in eight states, including California, Oregon, Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell & BEV Survey
The following survey was sent as a link in an email cover message in February 2023 to the newsletter lists for Overdrive and CCJ. After approximately two weeks, a total of 176 owner-operators under their own authority, 113 owner-operators leased or assigned to a carrier and 82 fleet executives and 36 fleet employees from fleets with 10 or more power units had completed and submitted the questionnaire for a total of 407 qualified responses. Cross-tabulations based on respondent type are provided for each question when applicable.
