Despite the seemingly slow nationwide adoption rates of battery-electric semis, progress continues and XCharge North America, together with Roady's Truck Stops, is proof of this expansion.

XCharge is a specialist in EV charging while Roady's is one of the country's top independent truck stops.
The two companies have just announced a new partnership that will see XCharge provide charging equipment and related materials to Roady's, which has more than 500 franchise locations across the U.S.
Roady's has a membership franchise business model.
Both companies recognize the need to provide customers with a variety of business strategies and site configurations in order to accommodate battery-electric semi charging.
In this case, a purchase and operating model will be implemented to help businesses, such as fleets and municipalities, purchase charging hardware directly from XCharge. Businesses can then customize this equipment based on their specific needs and pocket 100% of the charging revenue.
Another option businesses can take advantage of is something called the Turnkey Development Solution. This involves a "full-service, end-to-end solution encompassing EV fast charging equipment, installation, software, monitoring, and maintenance."
XCharge claims this method streamlines tasks such as coordinating with multiple vendors and managing individual project components, resulting in members saving time and effort while still pushing forward with project deployment.
The partnership also allows for Roady's members to gain access to products like the new GridLink charger and the new Virtual Point of Sale integrated payment system.
“Many of our members are small business owners, and we are committed to empowering them to operate their business in whatever way fits their individual needs. XCharge NA helps us further that goal,” said John Fechik, consultant to Roady's & PTP Truck Stops. “XCharge NA’s innovative and user-friendly chargers will help our members attract new customers to their locations and drive revenue amid economic volatility.”
Aatish Patel, XCharge NA co-founder and president adds that “Strategic partnerships like this allow us to further develop a system that supports EV drivers and their charging needs while strengthening a grid that is experiencing increased demand and the wear-and-tear of frequent climate disasters.”
