Bollinger Motors is showing no signs of slowing down as its battery-electric B4 Chassis Cab expands its presence throughout the country. Today, the Michigan-based manufacturer confirmed that the B4 is officially eligible for the New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYTVIP). This program is specifically designed for electric vehicles from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority (NYSERDA).
This program functions through an approved dealership network that receives voucher payments after providing fleets a discount, allowing those fleets to avoid having to pay the full amount for the vehicle upfront and apply for reimbursement.
Aside from state-level incentives, the B4 qualifies for $40,000 worth of federal tax incentives thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act. Combined with the NYTVIP, buyers can receive between $70,000 and $140,000 in incentives.

โWe applaud the states in the Northeast who are working hard to create more sustainable transportation options,โ said Jim Connelly, chief revenue officer for Bollinger Motors. โThe commercial fleet market is primed for electrification, and the incentives available in the Northeast will accelerate the adoption of this important technology.โ
New York is actually the fourth state in the Northeast where Bollinger has qualified for sales and incentives. The others include:
- Massachusetts: voucher up to a $30,000 from Massachusetts Offers Rebates for Electric Vehicles (MOR-EV)
- New Jersey: voucher up to $90,000 from New Jersey Zero Emission Incentive Program (NJ ZIP) through the New Jersey Education Development Authority (NJEDA)
- Pennsylvania: up to a $20,000 grant from Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant Program (AFIG) the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection
The B4 boasts a 158 kWh battery pack and can be enhanced with dealer accessories and factory options, such as an e-PTO unit. Pricing begins at $158,758 before incentives are applied.
