Epic Charging, a Silicon Valley-based B2B Software-as-a-Service(SaaS) company, has acquired Bluedot Technologies, a Palo Alto-based firm that provides fleet charging management and payment software with access to more than 80% of public EV charging ports across the U.S.
The acquisition, finalized May 1, brings Bluedot's technology platform, intellectual property, customer agreements, branding assets and several members of its core team under Epic Charging's umbrella. The move strengthens its position in the rapidly expanding electric fleet market as companies seek more streamlined ways to manage charging operations and energy costs.

Founded by Ferhat Babacan and Selinay Parlak, Bluedot Technologies developed a platform that simplified EV fleet charging by combining payments, route planning, fraud protection and home-charging reimbursement tools into a single system for drivers and fleet operators.
The company quickly gained traction through partnerships with major customers including Rivian, Hertz, Vay and the City of San Francisco. Since 2023, Bluedot has raised more than $5 million from investors including Heartfelt and Ford Driventure.
With the acquisition, Epic Charging is positioning itself as a full-service EV fleet charging provider by combining its charge point management software with Bluedot's payment and charging access technology. Additionally, Epic said the acquisition will help expand its AI-powered charging management platform by integrating Bluedot's fleet data and telematics tools. The deal will also give Bluedot app users access to Epic's charging network.

"We built Bluedot to solve real pain points in EV charging management," said Babacan, "and joining Epic Charging gives our platform the scale and resources to reach the customers who need it most. This is the right next chapter for the technology and for our team. From our first conversations with the Epic Charging team, it was clear we shared the same vision for where this industry is headed."
Bluedot confirmed it will continue operating as a separate brand under Epic, with employees joining the combined company as part of the acquisition.
"Every charger operator is asking the same question. How do we get more sessions at our sites? Bluedot answers that," said Bakunin. "Fleet drivers using Bluedot can now discover and charge at Epic-powered sites across the country, which means the operators and site hosts running on Epic benefit from real, sustained demand from one of the fastest-growing segments in EV charging."
